How it works
Let’s find the best way for you or your student to reach your goals.
No two students are the same, and each unique learning style deserves a tailored approach to ensure maximum understanding. For some, that looks like repetition, solving similar problems until a pattern emerges. For others, concrete real-life examples from my own career or experience help to answer the how’s and why’s.
In order to remove any barriers between you and your success, I offer flexible tutoring options, including virtual or in-person; morning, afternoon and evening scheduling; and different rates depending on the number of students.

Private Tutoring
The most popular option, this is best for individual students who need focused attention on one or more subjects. One-on-one tutelage brings out the best in any student, providing the optimal method of teaching for individual learning styles.

Group Tutoring
A great option for classmates or siblings, this affordable offering is popular around midterms and finals. Ensure deep understanding by having your student teach their classmates concepts they have just learned.

Virtual Tutoring
Virtual tutoring is a great option for those who have a demanding schedule, including college students, athletes or working students. Recordings with AI summary are also available upon request.

Organizational Skills
For help beyond studying, I offer lessons in organization, both in the backpack and on the planner, as well as tips for more effective studying techniques.
What parents and students are saying…
Please see what happy and satisfied parents and students have to say about me and West Houston Tutoring.

Margaret has been helping my son for years in math from Algebra to Calculus as well as Chemistry (college level as well as high school). She is AMAZING in her expertise in the subjects. Key reason my son was able to grasp the material and do well. She also provided SAT tutoring for him and helped him improve his scores time over time. Highly recommend Margaret!
Jane P., Parent of a student

Margaret tutored both of my high school students in algebra 1, physics, algebra 2, pre-calculus, and chemistry. Each of my children have very different learning styles and Margaret took the time to get to know each of them and how they would best master the material. She was fun, engaging, flexible, and instantly became an extension of my kids’ school efforts. Margaret communicated with my child’s teacher when needed to attempt to help bridge understanding in learning gaps. She has become more than a tutor to our family.
Alex D., Parent of two students

Margaret helped me understand physics and taught me in a way to help me remember what I was learning. She was always very nice and inviting during out lessons and never made me feel bad for asking for more elaboration.
